Denver Pride is gearing up for its 52nd anniversary celebration, set to take place from Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28, 2026. The expansive festival, recognized as one of the top five largest Pride events nationwide, will transform downtown Denver with a vibrant parade, a community 5K race, and a diverse array of live musical performances. Organized by The Center on Colfax, all proceeds generated from Denver Pride will directly support its comprehensive year-round programs. These initiatives offer crucial mental health services, youth engagement opportunities, and vital resources for transgender individuals and older adults within the LGBTQ+ community.
Festival Kickoff and Dance Party Highlights
The festivities commence on Friday, June 26, with the PlayHaus Kickoff Party at the Fillmore Auditorium. This highly anticipated event will feature electrifying sets from acclaimed artists Honey Dijon and DJ Minx. The following day, Saturday, June 27, will see the Denver Pride 5K race commence at Cheesman Park. Later that evening, attendees can experience the brand-new PlayHaus Dance Party at The Junkyard, presenting a dynamic lineup that includes global sensations Pabllo Vittar and Saucy Santana, alongside talented artists Shermanology and Matt Suave. These performances promise to energize the celebration and bring diverse musical talents to the forefront.
Parade, Main Festival, and Center Stage Performers
Sunday, June 28, marks the grand Denver Pride Parade, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. along 17th Street, drawing crowds for a colorful display of community pride. The main Denver PrideFest festival will unfold on 16th Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering free admission to all. The PrideFest Center Stage will be a focal point for entertainment, featuring notable performers such as Nini Coco, a finalist from “Ru Paul’s Drag Race,” the iconic drag artist Pattie Gonia, and the celebrated Nigerian-American drag king, King Molasses. Kim Salvaggio, CEO of The Center on Colfax, highlighted the significance of these artists, stating they represent thriving queer futures and inspire the community to reflect on its history, embrace the present, and actively work towards a more equitable future. Shayna P., co-founder of PlayHaus, expressed her honor in presenting both local Colorado queer talent and internationally recognized artists to the Denver audience.
